New Doghouse for Cypress

Today, Max and I put together a new dog house for Cypress. Max did great using the drill on the back as well as putting together the hinges for the roof to raise up; making it easier to clean out.

Funny Fox

Today, Fox was telling me a story about Kelly. He would refer to her as Mommy, of course, but after a couple of times saying that, he paused and clarified that mommy was, "well...Kelly to you". I am SO glad he explained who she was before getting too far into the story.

Max Turns 10!

Max turned 10 years old yesterday!! On Sunday, I took him to see The Hobbit at iPic where we pigged out on tons of food while we watched this epic 3 hour movie. Then on his actual bday I took the day off of work and we all went to Sealife aquarium, Rainforest Cafe, and the Perot Museum. Then we came home and opened presents and had dinner and dessert. It was a great day!

Alex Catches Me Up on Minecraft

Today when I came home from work Alex talked to me on the couch for 20-30 minutes about everything that they had done on Minecraft the day before. I thought she was done and left to make coffee but when I returned she picked up where she left off and continued telling me all about it.

Alex's Hello Kitty Toaster

Alex has been busy making cinnamon toast for all of us. It is very good!

Slap Your Tooth Out

Max has had two loose teeth for a few days now. One of them is barely hanging on. I told him to "make it interesting" and try slapping himself to knock it out. He did and it flew out of his mouth.

Fox Can't Carry People

Last night, the kids fell asleep in the movie room playing Minecraft. This morning, Fox said that he thought about carrying Alex to her bed but then he remembered that he can only carry people in the swimming pool.

Alex Wants...

Swimming?

It is starting to warm up so we went to the pool today around 2pm. Fox was COLD and that was with the sun bright and hot. It is now 7:32pm and the sun is going down...Fox is sad we can't go to the pool to swim.

Eating Crickets

We have flavored crickets for a challenge at work tomorrow. I brought some home and Max ate ten and Fox ate four. I bribed them by paying them $1 for each one. :)

First Day at Splash Park

Today was the first day that I was able to come early and take the kids to the splash park! Fox was napping at home so it was just Max and Alex that got to go. Sorry Foxman!

Easter Fun

Today we went to a big neighborhood Easter party with a climbing wall, bounce house, and lunch. It is also the day the splash park opened so a big day all the way around. Not to mention the FOUR hour bday party across town at a park that Alex went to!!! Four hours. Four. I woke up at 4:20am this morning. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I survived the best I could waiting by jogging a couple of miles as well as reading the Hungry Games (2nd book). Alex had a great time! She checked in on me every 20 minutes or so. She got to swing away at a piñata...which was in no danger from her swings that were no stronger than the flap of a butterfly wing.

We also died Easter eggs so hopefully tomorrow I'll post some pics.

Six Flags

Today we surprised the kids with a full day at Six Flags!! They love that place. I do too.

Fox does what???

Alex says, in a hushed voice, "dad, sometimes Fox sings when he's on the potty".

Swimming

This kids have really taken to swimming and are doing quite well on their own. Alex is a super fast swimmer, Max is outstanding at diving to the bottom to retrieve things, and Fox does some crazy underwater flips that he came up with all on his own.

We went down to Jeff and Diane's so all the cousin's could swim together. They played in the pool for a 6-7 hours total over a day and a half.

We also take them to World Gym to swim. They love going there.

It's Been a While

Wow....I forgot about this blog. It has been almost two years since I updated it.

Since October of 2008 we have done quite a few cool things that I should have posted. Max turned six and then seven. Alex turned four and then five. Fox turned two and then three. We went to DisneyLand again as well as Florida. There were a couple of trips to Great Wolf Lodge as well as a great trip to Big Cedar Lodge. Time flies.

11th Anniversary

Where are the kids? At home with Babap and Papap while we are staying at Big Cedar Lodge....same place we "honeymooned" eleven years ago. Love you Kelly.

Good Day? No. Great Day.

Today we bought our 1997 Jeep back today. Max and I made a wrong turn and stumbled upon it at a used car lot. Long story short: we had to buy it. Too many cool memories. Max and Alex rode home in it from soccer practice and they loved it.
